The Institute of Space Systems (IRS) is excited to announce that the "4th Workshop on LCA of STS" will once again take place in Stuttgart, Germany, from 1st to 3rd September 2026.

Following the success of the "3rd Workshop on LCA of STS" (Whitepaper) and given the growing scientific interest in the topic, another three-day workshop, including presentations and discussion sessions, will be held. If you are a professional researcher with interest in LCA of space transportation systems, launch and re-entry emission assessment, or atmospheric emission modelling, join us for an intense and collaborative workshop and become part of our network to help make spaceflight sustainable (Register here until 31st May, 2026).

The 4th Workshop on Life Cycle Assessment of Space Transportation Systems is hosted by the University of Stuttgart and funded by the German Space Agency at DLR and the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (Grant ID: 50RL2580).
